Its user-friendly approach made Katalon the ideal choice for my first testing tool.

Learning on Katalon Academy has not only given me an overview, alongside best practices, into different areas of testing, but it has also helped me to be more confident in using Katalon Studio's features like Record, Spy, and Playback, which have made Web Testing a breeze. At the moment, I am familiarizing myself with API and Data-driven testing through the courses on Academy, and I cannot wait to see what I will be able to achieve with my newfound knowledge!

THE TRANSFORMATION

“Can you describe a project where you were able to apply what you learned on Katalon Academy?”

Whilst learning, and working on my first Katalon Certification, on Katalon Academy, I was able to apply what I have learned along the way to automate three websites: Katalon CURA, SauceDemo, and Magneto. First, I created and executed test cases to validate key functionalities like appointment booking, shopping cart operations, and product search. Then, I organized test cases into suites for efficient execution across multiple environments, and later incorporated data-driven testing for handling multiple inputs. By running these tests across different browsers and reporting bugs via Jira, I helped identify and resolve critical issues, ultimately improving the platforms’ stability and usability. This project strengthened my automation testing expertise with Katalon Studio.
